Accent Prime features a patented combination of longitudinal and transverse Ultrasound wave technology. This wave is called Shear wave which allows to selectively target fat cells, while leaving surrounding tissue unharmed. The shear wave vibrations disrupt fat cell membranes, leading to gradual breakdown and release of stored fat. Damaged fat cells are then disposed of the body through the lymphatic system. The US energy is distributed homogenously throughout the treatment area, effectively disrupting stubborn fat cells. RF power is then used to produce thermal deep heating to the tissue, resulting in more concentrated energy treatment. This unique combination reduces treatment time and number of sessions while yielding more powerful results.

The Accent Prime system boasts dual handpieces— a bipolar handpiece for volumetric dermal heating, aimed primarily at skin tightening treatments; and a Unipolar one for a deep controlled penetration depth of the RF energy for fat reduction and cellulite treatment.
The Unipolar handpiece treatment works by three main mechanisms: 1) tightening of the underlying tissue, which in turn causes a production of new collagen and collagen remodeling; 2)increased blood circulation to the area being treated and drainage of the lymphatic system; and 30 fatty acid decomposition and heat-induced fat cell death.
The bipolar handpiece penetrates less deeply into the tissue for use in facial tightening procedures in areas such as the temples, where the controlled heating at the desired penetration depth is essential and deep penetration is avoided due to the sensitive nature of the area. The Accent Prime promotes controlled and pain free heating of the skin in the treatment area, with subsequent contraction of the collagen tissue and a tightening of the skin.
